It is a profound honour for the entire Convenience store industry that we will soon have a proclaimed dedicated week during the last week of August, every year from here on in to our industry and products we sell.
This period will be known as ‘Convenience Store Week’ and will be recognized by all politicians and consumers throughout Ontario. MPP Stan Cho’s Private members bill has now passed through committee and will soon receive Royal Assent making Ontario the only province to officially recognize our industry.
The OCSA, OKBA & CICC have worked hard to make this a reality while supporting Ontario Children Foundation Charities who will benefit from this declaration: CHEO -Ottawa, Children’s Foundation Hospital – London, McMaster Children’s Hospital – Hamilton & Sick Kids in Toronto.
“Local donations going to local charities”
Politicians of all stripes have supported this great cause and we encourage suppliers, retailers & others to join us during the last week of August to help those in need.
Working together for a worthy cause helps Children’s charities everywhere.
Please join us and open your hearts as we work together to ensure the 1000’s of family run C stores are recognized everywhere!
Thank you @MPP Stan Cho (Willowdale) for your passion & support!
More updates to follow as the Bill receives Royal Assent prior to June!
