OCSA Partners with American Express to Support Ontario Convenience Store Retailers

The Ontario Convenience Stores Association (OCSA) is pleased to announce a strategic partnership with American Express Canada to support the unique purchasing needs of convenience store owners across Ontario.

This initiative is designed to make it easier for retailers to buy beer, wine, and ready-to-drink beverages (RTDs) from the LCBO by offering access to an Amex Business Card with no pre-set spending limit — ideal for those making high-volume, high-frequency purchases.

Independent convenience store operators in Ontario are now permitted to sell beer, wine, and RTDs — but must purchase these products directly from the LCBO, which accepts only credit or debit cards from retailers.

This presents a challenge for stores that regularly make large alcohol inventory purchases. The solution? An American Express Business Card with a flexible, no pre-set limit that empowers retailers to manage inventory smoothly without financing barriers.
