Yesterday the Ontario Convenience Stores Association (OCSA), OKBA & CICC joined MPP Stan Cho to participate in an online press conference announcing his private members bill tabled yesterday in the legislature declaring the week before Labour Day to be ‘Convenience Store Week’ in Ontario recognizing the hard work of 1000’s of convenience store owners and employees in Ontario.
It is a honour for our industry to garner this type of recognition and Ontario is the only government to hold our industry in a higher esteem.
The Bill has gone through second reading and could be a reality prior to June of this year.
The OCSA appreciates the participation of the retailers who have supported this initiative and look forward to growing the charitable cause going forward.
Ontario Children Foundation Charities will benefit from this declaration: CHEO -Ottawa, Children’s Foundation Hospital – London, McMaster Children’s Hospital – Hamilton & Sick Kids in Toronto.
Local donation going to local charities! Politicians of all stripes have supported this great cause and we encourage suppliers, retailers & others to join us in this new proposed Bill to help those in need.
Working together for a worthy cause helps Children’s charities everywhere!
